Research Associate


Anuvia is currently seeking a Research Associate to be an essential part of the Anuvia team.  The successful candidate will be responsible for operating in the Pilot Plant and the Quality Control (“QC”) laboratory for Anuvia.  This person will be involved in multiple R&D projects.  This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, motivated talent.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Handles major portion of project activity with minimal supervision. Conducts experiments using appropriate research and laboratory equipment.
  • Carries out new experiments and tests new methods under minimal scientist guidance.
  • Develops and adapts new (to our area) methods based on own under-standing of a technical area.
  • Reliably completes non-routine assignment.
  • Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.
  • Starts to be involved into the experimental design.
  • Plans both routine and non-routine work independently, under general guidance from scientist.
  • Prepares experiment plans within scope of de-fined project with minimal scientist guidance.
  • Assists scientist in developing project plans covering the experimental work and shows initiative in problem-solving.
  • Additionally, exhibits scientific curiosity.
  • Demonstrates ability to analyze data and form conclusions providing technical insight.
  • Demonstrates at least 2 of:
    • Understands and can explain underlying scientific basis for developing new methods.
    • Assumes role as a local equipment superuser or technical specialist for specialized equipment.
    • Understands and applies numerous technologies and technical methods within a relevant application area.
    • Assumes role as technical specialist or champion for an application field requiring fostering beneficial contacts with global colleagues and external partners.
    • Demonstrates initiative and leadership in improving quality of work/lab environment at department/area level.
  • Records results from tests and experiments according to laboratory procedure.
  • Adheres to federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.



  • Proactive in all aspects of safety and risk management programs.  Adheres to and contributes to safety culture.
  • Research, update, and complete manuals, and technical information for all quality control operations.
  • Prepare scope of work for modifications or new projects when required.



  • Excellent data analytics skills with the ability to prepare accurate reports of results.
  • Thorough understanding of laboratory best practices.
  • Ability to operate laboratory equipment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Prior experience with fertilizer laboratory a plus.



B.S. in degree in life sciences in Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry or related field.  Some experience preferred but not necessary.


Effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written in English language.


Ability to lift 50 lbs. when required. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb ladders and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.  Proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be worn.
